What Is TRASH About?
What looks like waste may be treasure in disguise.
TRASH tells the story of Treasure, a gifted child whose creativity is dismissed by adults because he struggles academically.
As he navigates rejection, misunderstanding, and the pressure to fit into other people’s definitions of success, the story asks an important question:
Does being different make a child less valuable?
The film challenges the belief that a child’s worth is determined by popularity, approval, academic performance, or applause.
It reminds every child that their uniqueness matters—and that they can recognise value in others, too.
